Providing quality of life as well as exemplary care

We have made a commitment to our residents to focus on joy, compassion and kindness and when you visit us you will find the warmth of a family environment, where each of our residents is welcomed as an individual and where everyone belongs.

There is always someone on hand to talk to, to assist, to care. We handle all those day to day details to ensure that you can feel settled, safe and secure, and look forward to every day.

Our teams work hard to provide a stimulating environment with social engagement and activities. Dining is a highlight at Elizabeth Finn Homes, with fabulous restaurant-style food with plenty of choice based on balanced nutrition and seasonal produce. Enjoy meals with fellow residents, and invite your family and friends as well.

But don’t just take our word for it.

“Following a stroke I lost most of my mobility. But thanks to all that is on offer at Halliwell, I have discovered new talents – I paint, I sing, I write poetry and I’ve made new friends. Halliwell has given me back my life.”

We do not just provide excellent clinical standards but we care about every one of our residents, ensuring their physical and mental wellbeing is attended to on an individual basis.

Leading by Example

Our team of Directors have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of elderly care. This is shared with our staff, but perhaps more importantly knowledge and insight is cascaded regularly from our front-line workers, families and residents. As well as formal opportunities to feed back, the Directors and senior team are in our homes on a weekly basis, working alongside staff teams and residents to gain feedback and comment on a variety of issues related to the running of our homes.

A past to be proud of

We are not just a care home group, we are a community. As a community, we follow the vision set out by our founder in 1897, Elizabeth Finn.

We invest in our homes and staff to ensure a second to none experience for residents and families. Regular updates and improvements ensure that we maintain the highest standards and experience across all our homes. Care and attention is demonstrated throughout our homes, both inside and out, with stylish decor and beautifully maintained gardens and grounds. We invest in continual training and development for our excellent staff teams, supporting them to develop professionally. We prioritise employee’s mental and financial wellbeing with a host of initiatives and benefits and a commitment to paying the Real Living Wage to all who work with us. As part of the charity Turn2us, we are also driven by a bigger social purpose, with any remaining funds going directly to support those in wider society who are facing financial insecurity across the UK.

Why Choose Us

Profit for purpose

Elizabeth Finn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Turn2us, a national charity providing practical help to people who are struggling financially.

The Turn2us story began in 1897, when Elizabeth Finn set out to help people struggling to make ends meet.125 years later, the charity still enables people to be more financially secure, through practical financial support, information and programmes.

In 1948 the charity founded the Elizabeth Finn Homes business which runs eight care homes across England, initially established in response to a shortage of homes for the elderly. Today, the homes support Turn2us, with operating profits being invested into the charity’s work.
