Merlewood is a handsome Victorian house, set in 23 acres of grounds overlooking the Surrey hills near Virginia Water.
Two new extensions were opened in 1998 and today the Home has 53 purpose-built rooms providing personal and nursing care for those who need some help with daily life. All rooms have en-suite facilities, their own front doors and views over the landscaped gardens or courtyards. The public rooms, which are spacious and well furnished, include a library, hair dressing salon and chapel.

How to get to Merlewood
From exit 13 on the M25, take the A30 towards Egham. Continue up Egham Hill, passing the Royal Holloway College on your left. At the traffic lights, turn left into Bakeham Lane. Continue past the Rose and Olive Branch pub on the left, at which point the road becomes Callow Hill. Go to the brow of the hill and slow down at the large house, Virginia Beeches, on your right. At the Merlewood sign on your right, turn sharp left into Hollow Lane. |
